Neighbors In Need held its 42nd Annual Meeting on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at First Church in Methuen. We reflected on our 2024 achievements, presented a year-in-review, and conducted our annual elections.
Our 2024 Year in Review highlighted key accomplishments, including serving 1,600 families and increasing the number of grocery bags distributed by 3%. Overall, we saw a 19% increase in total food distribution, providing an incredible 1,238,043 pounds of food to those in need.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors and the dedication of our team, we expanded our reach during Thanksgiving and the holiday season, serving 2,000 families —200 more families than the previous year. Our new truck and pallet jack have allowed us to serve more families efficiently, making food access easier for those who rely on our support.
In 2024, we also achieved exciting milestones that strengthen our ability to serve. We launched a new website, implemented a donor database, and established a 401(k) plan, ensuring better support for our families, volunteers, donors, and staff. Our annual Soup’s On fundraiser was the most successful to date, raising over $125,000 to help us continue our mission.
None of this would have been possible without our robust network of community partners and over 500 volunteers who dedicate their time and energy to making a difference. Their unwavering support fuels our work and allows us to grow year after year. As we look ahead, we remain committed to expanding our impact and ensuring that no family in Greater Lawrence goes without access to food and essential resources.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us in making 2024 a year of progress and hope. Here’s to another year of serving our Greater Lawrence community together!
