What to Expect at Neighbors In Need Mobile Market Food Pantries
- Welcome! You may come to a NIN pantry once a week.
- When you arrive, check in with NIN staff and you will be given a number to hold your place in line. You will get your food based on your number in line.
- Bags can be heavy and may break; please bring your own bag.
What’s In A Bag?
- Each family receives one bag of food (even if two or more members of the family are present at the pantry). The bag may contain frozen protein (ground beef/turkey, chicken, pork or fish), cans of fruits & vegetables, rice & beans or pasta & sauce, a farm fresh produce item, tuna fish/soup/peanut butter, a dairy or bakery item.
First Time?
- An employee or volunteer will complete an intake for your household with you.
- Please bring a document with your name on it to your 1st and 2nd visits.
- After we complete your intake, you will get a food bag.
- The next time you come to the pantry you will be given an ID which we will scan each week.
Pantry Specific Information
South Church, Andover and Boys & Girls Club, Lawrence Food Pantries
- These pantries are choice pantries. You can choose which food you would like from what is offered at these locations.
- Bags are not provided, please bring your own bag.
First Church, Methuen Food Pantry
- This location is a drive through food pantry.
- There will be one line of cars to the side of the road. Please get in line, and do not block any intersections or driveways.
- If it is your first time, you will need to complete an intake. When you get to the front of the line, let the employees/volunteers know it is your first time. They will ask you to park and help you complete an intake.
- Once you have completed your intake or your card is scanned, you will be given a yellow card with the number of families in your car. This is the number of food bags we will distribute.
- Pull through the line and volunteers will load the food bag(s) into your car. Please return the yellow card to an employee or volunteer before leaving.
Your use of the Food Pantry is entirely confidential. The data we collect is for fundraising purposes to help us know what food to buy for the food pantry. It also allows us to serve USDA products at our food pantries. The basic information you tell us will only be reported to our funders in general terms.
NIN is an independent non-profit organization, and not affiliated with any of the host agencies where our pantries are located. We are grateful to all our food pantry hosts who generously allow us to operate in these facilities.

What to Expect at Neighbors In Need Diaper Pantry
- To receive diapers the children who use the diapers must reside in Andover, North Andover, Methuen or Lawrence.
- Social worker referrals are accepted, but not required.
- If this is your first visit to receive diapers from the diaper pantry, you will need to complete an intake. This intake can also be completed over the phone by calling 978-699-3683 and leaving a message.
- When you arrive, please scan the QR code “entrada” (entrance questionnaire), and complete the form. This allows faster, confidential service, in clear order.
- A caregiver may receive supplemental diapers for each child that uses them every 30 days.
- There is often a line. We serve families one at a time, so please be prepared in case you need to wait.
- We will meet your diaper need to the best of our ability – at times we are out of some sizes.
Use of the diaper pantry is entirely confidential. The data we collect is intended to raise funds and to help us procure the needed diapers. The basic information we collect will only be reported to funders in general terms. No identifying information is shared.
NIN may invite clients to complete optional anonymous surveys or to share testimonials to improve our services. Participation does not impact individual services.
